Do I need a Stripe account to use invoicing?
You need a Stripe account to accept online card payments. You can connect your Stripe account in one step from your Cleaner Sync settings. If you prefer to collect payment via Zelle, PayPal, or cash, you can still use invoicing without Stripe.
Does Cleaner Sync take a percentage of my payments?
No. Payments go directly into your Stripe account. Cleaner Sync does not take any platform fee. The only fee is Stripe's standard processing rate (typically 2.9% + 30Β’ per transaction), which Stripe deducts automatically.
How does the invoice auto-mark as paid?
When a client completes payment through Stripe, Stripe sends a webhook notification to Cleaner Sync. The invoice status updates to Paid within seconds β€” no manual action needed on your end.
Can clients see their payment receipt?
Yes. After payment, the client's invoice page shows the paid date, payment method used, and a link to the Stripe receipt which they can download or print.
What if a client doesn't pay by card?
No problem. You can set the payment method on each invoice to Zelle, PayPal, bank transfer, or any custom method. When payment is received, simply mark the invoice as paid manually from the invoice list.
Can I send an invoice to a client who doesn't have a Cleaner Sync account?
Yes. Invoices are emailed directly to the client with a PDF attachment and a Pay Online link. The client doesn't need to log in to pay β€” they simply click the link and complete payment through Stripe's secure checkout page.
How quickly will I receive the money after a client pays?
Stripe typically deposits funds to your bank account within 2 business days of a successful payment, depending on your Stripe payout schedule. Cleaner Sync has no involvement in the payout timing β€” it is handled entirely by Stripe.
Is the payment checkout page secure?
Yes. The checkout page is hosted by Stripe, one of the world's leading payment processors. All card data is encrypted and handled directly by Stripe β€” Cleaner Sync never sees or stores any card information.
Can I include multiple cleaning jobs on one invoice?
Yes. When creating an invoice you can attach multiple completed cleaning tasks and add extra line items. The invoice totals everything automatically and sends it as one payment request to the client.
